A two day visit to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, has also been included in the safari itinerary to not only break up the more strenuous trekking activities but also give you the opportunity to photograph a much wider diversity of subjects than just primate and leave you with an incredibly well rounded portfolio of African wildlife images.

  3. Day 3 Kibale National Forest

After an early morning wake up call and breakfast at the lodge we will take a small walk to the ranger’s station in Kibale National Park to meet our Chimpanzee Habituation team.  We will spend the day with Kibale’s trackers and, after tracking and finding the chimps, spend the day in the forest with them, following them through the forest, and observing their behaviour and movements throughout the day.  We will enjoy a packed lunch in the forest and then finish off the day at sundown when the chimpanzees retire, or when we feel we’ve had enough and want to head back to the lodge.   Drinks and dinner will be enjoyed at the lodge before retiring for the day to fall asleep to the sounds of Kibale Forest all around us.

  4. Day 4 Kibale National Forest

After breakfast we will again head out into the forest to spend another full day following, photographing and being a part of the large groups of chimpanzees in Kibale National Forest.

  5. Day 5 Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast we will pack up and depart from Primate Lodge as we make our way to Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park for the second leg of our safari.  After arriving and settling in to our rooms we will head out on an afternoon game drive .  The Queen Elizabeth National Park has a variety of flora and fauna and it’s acknowledged to be a habitat for over 95 mammal species with about 612 species of birds.  We will return to camp for dinner and overnight.
